Rules for submission:
  • Before submitting a demo, all artists are required to send us an email at submit@angelstarrecords.com and a quick paragraph paraphrasing what you or your band plays/sings (genre of music). We will then email you back giving our approval to send your packet.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to submit a demo. Those under 18 must have written permission from their parents to submit their demo.
  • A minimum of 10 songs must be submitted via CD. No online submissions of songs. Under some special circumstances, we will accept songs less than 10.
  • One picture of the artist/band.
  • Bio of your experience. Even if you don't have much experience, it will not rule you out for being accepted to our label. We are looking for those striving to succeed.
  • The bio should include your telephone number, email address, and any other important contact information.
  • We will not accept submissions containing:
    • racism
    • profanity
    • bigotry
    • hate
    • pornographic material

What we offer our artists:

We offer artists the opportunity to belong to a record label in order to help advance their careers and increase their presence around the world. We profit by taking a small portion of the CD sales.
  • Internet exposure to over 15 MP3 sites (and growing) that gives people around the world a chance to listen to your music.
  • CD Sales of your music.
  • Percentage of profit from CD sales go directly to the artist.
  • Exposure on Amazon.com and other Internet Retailers.
  • Your website page on the Angel Star Records website with your bio.
  • UPC code for each CD album so that large Internet retailers will can order your music.
  • Submissions to online music reviewers and reviews by your peers online.
  • Increased exposure on search engines for your name.
  • Assistance with copyrighting songs however, artists are responsible for paying the fees. All artists keep their own copyrights to their songs.
  • Assistance with ASCAP membership if needed.
  • Airplay on Angel Star Records Internet Radio (coming Summer 2004)

What we DO NOT offer:

As stated in the About Us, we are not a traditional record label. We provide online worldwide web support to our artists and do all the work of uploading your songs and selling of your CD's. We provide maximum support to our artists and dedication.
  • We do not pay for artists to record songs or studio time.
  • We do not book promotions or tours.
  • We do not ship out free CD's. Artists who would like to give out free CD's must pay for the production costs.
  • We do not provide legal counsel.
  • We do not provide songs or song writing materials to artists.
  • We do not provide video services.
  • We do not provide photography services.

Contract Information:

All artists are required to sign a one year contract with
Angel Star Records if accepted to the label. Every year, the contract will go through a review process to see if both parties agree to continue and work together. Our contract is quite simple - if one of our artists is approached by a major record label or another record label, you are free to leave however, you are required to send a written notice 30 days prior to us and each artist is free to go on and try new adventures!

A contract can be terminated by
Angel Star Records before the renewal date if the artist/band:
  • Does not provide any music.
  • Signs with another record label without terminating their current contract with Angel Star Records.
  • Signs with another record label WITH Angel Star Records contract terminated properly.
  • Non-activity with their music.
  • Selling your CD's through a non-authorized source other than Angel Star Records.
We have exclusive rights during the contract period to sell your CD's (songs stated in the contract only) and obtain a portion of the profits. We DO NOT have copyrights on our artists songs. All artist retain their own copyrights.


Once your submission has been received by us and we approve to take you on as an artist, you should hear from us one month after submission. If you are not accepted at that time, you will receive a notice from us via email.

Have all the information you need? After you have received an email from us giving you the "go" to submit your material, please email all material to your contact (specified in the email) with a link on where we can download your songs.
